Websites & Apps That May be Useful in Your Divorce, Post-Divorce, & Co-Parenting – Part II

|In 2018, I posted a blog containing a list of websites and apps that may be helpful during a divorce. In the six years that have elapsed since that was written, technology has expanded and much has changed, warranting a review of current applications, websites, and information that can be helpful to NJ litigants before, during, and after their family law matter.
Our Family Wizard continues to be a fan favorite of divorce attorneys, judges, experts, and the like. Some of its benefits include the ability to give your attorney, therapist, custody evaluators, etc., access to the site. Additionally, there is a “tone meter” that can be purchased for an additional, nominal fee that can help maintain an appropriate tone in composing emails, etc. Parents can also use the other features within this app to exchange calendars, receipts, information, and so on.
Custody Exchange appears similar to Our Family Wizard but also includes specific calendaring applications that may be helpful.
NJ Courts Website provides self-help forms, opinions of the court, court rules, filing links, etc., that litigants often appreciate as a resource tool.
New Jersey State Bar Association provides information on attorneys, programs, education, etc.
Hunterdon County Bar Association has information on local attorneys as well as the Lawyer Referral Service Program: https://huntcolaw.org/lawyer-referral/lawyer-referral-form. Each local county bar has a similar program and/or website with helpful information.
Support Pay is a financial management app specifically designed for divorced or separated parents. It helps track and manage child support payments, ensuring transparency and accountability.
AppClose offers calendaring, video, calls, messaging and more.
Please note that I have no ownership nor have I received payment or other incentives to provide this information. I simply wanted to provide a quick list of apps and websites that have proved helpful to clients and professionals. It should be noted that nothing is a substitute for your attorney’s specific advice as it relates to the unique facts and circumstances of your case. Consult your counsel first.
